Install and authenticate

The CLI uses your account permissions. Sign-in is confirmed in the browser. Check your target before every deployment.

Discover commands

Built-in help reflects the version you have installed, which is more reliable than any documentation page for flags. Use project IDs rather than names so a rename never silently retargets a deployment.

Automation

Issue a dedicated automation token for CI with the minimum permissions it needs. Keep it in your CI secret store. An inactive managed subscription blocks platform mutations through the CLI as well.
