Project-scoped provisioning
Every database belongs to exactly one project. Creating one hands you a dedicated role, a generated password and a connection limit you control.
Credentials on your terms
Reveal, rotate or adopt existing credentials from the dashboard. Rotation issues a new password without dropping the role your application already uses.
Connections are the scarce resource
Connection limits are enforced per role, not per project. The dashboard shows live connection statistics so you notice exhaustion before your application does.
Two ways in
Open a direct TCP connection for migrations, psql and ORMs, or call the HTTPS Data API from serverless runtimes that cannot hold a socket.
Extensions where supported
The server runs stock PostgreSQL. Available extensions depend on what the host has installed; check before you depend on one in production.
Backups you can verify
Create dumps on demand, download them and restore into a database. A backup you have never restored is a hypothesis, not a safety net.

Plan capacity deliberately
Connections and memory are finite. Pooling, suitable indexes and verified backups remain part of operating a database. Fair use does not remove technical limits, and the dashboard warns when the sum of role limits exceeds what the server can serve.
